The band's latest release on Level-Plane Records collects all of their out of print recordings from 1999-2003. This includes the acclaimed Robot Wars 10", the split 10" with Dutch punk legends SEEIN' RED and various 7" efforts. For the uninitiated, SHIKARI combines a brutally thick guitar attack with rhythms ranging from lightning fast blasts to crucial metallic breakdowns. The assault never ends and one wonders why this band has not yet made it to the US in the wake of the popularity of bands like ORCHID and CONVERGE. SHIKARI packs a sonic punch that could likely render metalcore and chaotic hardcore enthusiasts senseless and battered. This is a prime opportunity to pick up some of this band's crucial material.
